The story behind
Tattersalls is the name of the most prestigious equestrian auction house, established in England in 1766. But it's also the name of a delicate cotton with a square motif. And while the spelling may have changed slightly over the centuries, Henri d'Origny has retained its spirit for this design, with its perfectly geometric composition and harmonious interplay of lines and curves. Canvas straps and steel bits interlock at the edges, forming four stalls for the horses, whose graphic neck covers draw our eye to the central medallion. Inspired by a sandblasted plate from the Emile Hermès collection, this scarf features a design that, far from being fleeting, is a classic of the saddler's legacy.
