The story behind

Steeplechase is said to have originated in Ireland in the 18th century, when two riders engaged in an obstacle race across the countryside between their village steeples. Virginie Jamin was inspired by this equestrian event to create a scarf with jockeys galloping along the edges of the design. The competition continues here in this miniature rectangular racecourse.
