The story behind
Historically, mahjong tiles were made of horn or ivory. Here, they are presented in engraved sycamore to offer players these expected sounds. Named in reference to Asia's ancient trading post and place of exchange, Macao contains the secrets of a game with an age-old ritual within its precious chest. Evercolor calfskin, Epsom calfskin and lizard leathers in a variety of grains and colors adorn the sycamore box lid.
