The story behind
At the end of the 19th century, stores dedicated to stable care and equestrian equipment were overflowing with wonders. Housed in the Emile Hermès collection, it was a catalog from one of these stores that inspired Joachim Metz to create this brightly colored and unusually modern scarf. During colder weather or on long journeys, straps were placed over the horse's chest and belly to hold the blankets in place. Cleverly positioned and suspended beyond time, they're waiting for a rider to untie them, and in the meantime, they remain a timeless signature of the Maison.
