The story behind
Fastened across a horse's chest and belly, straps are used to hold their much-needed rugs in place during the winter months. This illustration revisits the original 1985 design by Joachim Metz. Without betraying the initial design, the rectangular composition and simplified lines of this version show these riding accessories in a new light, wound around their stands in skillful disorder. Standing out against a plain background, they wait patiently and playfully for the rider or jockey to unravel them.
