It's back to school at Faubourg Saint-Honore and the art exam is about to begin. Today's subject: the Hermès Ex-Libris. It's a tough one and the pupils are caught off guard. They had revised almost all the classics – saddle-stitching, the Chaine d'Ancre, silk scarves and the entire Emile Hermès collection – but they hadn't anticipated the Ex-Libris. Anne-Margot Ramstein was smarter than the rest. She has devised an unbeatable cheat sheet – a "hippograph" to be knotted around the neck – and made sure to break up its lines so as not to arouse suspicion. No one is any the wiser.
