The story behind

Mineral and minimalist, the Hecate table lamp was created by British designers Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby. It takes its name from the goddess embodying the new moon, the black moon. Crafted from black granite, an exceptionally dense telluric material which requires the aid of diamond-tipped drills for it to be carved, this classically-shaped object absorbs light to let it only filter through a controlled circle. It is a highly studied piece whose leather cable clad adds a touch of whimsy.
