First, the blanket is hand-woven, revealing two large vertical colored stripes. It is then submerged in two different dye baths at each end.
The "H" detail is created by applying a wooden hand-carved "H", which is affixed to the blanket before it is submerged in the dye baths.

The story behind
These brightly colored plaids and cushions, structured geometrically, are formed from woven vertical stripes and colors that are dyed after weaving on each edge of the plaid. This exposes the woven stripes to two other dyes to create new color variations. The signature H is obtained by attaching a wooden H to the plaid before submerging it in dye to prevent the color from penetrating the material at that specific point.
