With its monochrome lines, the chapter Fresh Paint conveys the illusion of painting with stones.
Meticulous jewelling work creates this impression of movement and adds volume and texture to the pieces, forming a stunning mirage.
Les formes de la couleur
"This collection expresses color in shapes. I wanted to find a way to express this fundamental phenomenon – of color, at Hermès – and build a strong, autonomous and independent identity",
Pierre Hardy, Creative Director of Hermès Jewellery.
It is the eye that brings colors to life by stimulating receptors on the retina. Here, Pierre Hardy, celebrates the effects of this phenomenon, capturing intangible color and embracing form. This new collection describes a thought process – an experiment in the perception of light.
Color exploration
The notion of resonance between colors and geometric shapes inspired the creation of the rings in the chapter Portraits de la couleur : the red square of a ruby, the yellow triangle of a beryl, the blue circle of a sapphire…
The ring, bracelet and necklace in the chapter Hermès Diaprés are made up of center stones: emerald-cut white diamonds or sapphires that radiate a soft brilliance illuminate the architectural motif in iridescent mother-of-pearl, set off by a baguette cut.
The architecture of forms
Captivating, architectural, and precious, the pieces of the Supracolor chapter exemplify the dispersion of
light waves: shifting from black to white while revealing vibrant hues all through the prism of a rutilated quartz set with a dazzling triangle-cut diamond.
The supple, undulating forms of the Arc en couleurs chapter embrace the curves of the body, while their soft inviting colors inspire reverie. Articulated by ingenious interweaving elements, bracelets and necklaces are the result of technical prowess.
The highly geometric pieces in the Color Flash chapter are adorned with brightly colored stones, resembling pixelated digital images.
Design and craftsmanship
Hermès cultivates a unique approach to haute bijouterie, inherited from its original métier as a harness-maker and saddler. Imbued with this bold spirit, the new jewellery collection, with its strong shapes and vibrant colors, exudes powerful emotions.
