The materials store
Silk, leather, fabric, porcelain, crystal, silverware and more are all offered up to inspire unexpected combinations of these dormant materials in a spirit of reinvention and sustainability.
Petit h reinvents objects
Petit h is a promise in itself – a promise of free and playful creativity. Its work is based not on a preconceived idea, but on materials that other Hermès métiers have no use for. By combining them in a thousand and one ways, artisans, artists and designers create unique objects with shapes and functions that shine out with their creative wanderings.
Our icons
Objects come to life in the workshop
Expert artisans from every Hermès métier work hand in hand with artists and guest designers around Godefroy de Virieu, creative director of petit h.
A creative process that gives rise to unique, functional objects.
Reinventing everyday objects and combining new materials and know-how. Creating self-evident associations such as terracotta and leather or crystal.
The hundred and one lives of the saddle tree
Borrowed from the Conservatoire des Créations Hermès, 1960s saddle trees have landed in the petit h workshop. The ideas start flowing and petit h re-creations come to life in forms such as a sledge, a chair, a guitar, a bench, a basket or vase. The tree, the heart of the saddle, inspires surprising links between artists and craftsmen and unprecedented alliances between know-how and natural materials. Its organic curves produce objects as useful as they are hybrid. Saddle up!
